Which Laser Treatment Is Right For You

Originally published March 23, 2022. Updated August 11, 2022.

When you're considering laser and light therapy treatments to correct your skin, there are so many options to consider! Here are a couple of questions to ask yourself:

1. Does my schedule allow for some downtime? Downtime refers to the amount of time you may be red and swollen (and it can't be covered by makeup). It varies depending on the treatment you choose and how your skin reacts. Some people are more sensitive or prone to swelling, so downtime may feel more severe for the first few days or last a little longer. Usually, it's around 7 days with our most aggressive treatments. If you have the flexibility to take time away, consider opting for a more aggressive treatment to achieve more significant change.

2. Am I willing to commit to good skincare habits and sunscreen to protect my investment and support my skin goals? Hopefully, your answer is yes and yes! Supporting your skin after your treatment is a must if you want to prolong your treatment results and avoid ending up back where you started.

Your answer to these questions will help us create a custom treatment plan during your consultation.

So, what's the plan?

It's important to understand that we often recommend combining certain laser and light therapy treatments to help you achieve the best result. Some of our favorite combinations are Moxi with BBL HeroFYBBL with Profraction, and BBL or Moxi with Halo.

If you've reached your desired results and want to maintain, many clients opt for Forever Young BBL Annual Packages or Moxi treatments done 3 times each year.

Here is a simple chart that will give you a high-level overview of what each laser or light therapy treatment best targets. Remember, we often recommend combination treatments for the best result. And your ability for downtime and commitment to post-treatment skin support will play a significant factor in which treatment we recommend.
