What is it about our lips that seem to define us or at least impact how we feel about our appearance?There is a point at which stretching the lip tissue more and more is problematic and can create saggy, wrinkly lips down the road. As in all things, balance and health should be considered when it comes to your lips. As time marches on, often women lose volume in their lips. They seem to shrink if not almost disappear (uh oh) and become wrinkly! I should know, check out my pictures. But it’s quite easy and flattering to put the “plump” back into deflating lips.  And no, we don’t make them “big,” or “ducky,” but rather restore them to their former glory. In my case, that means making them visible, really. I’ve always had very thin lips, and I’m ok with that, but I do want them to show :)  For some other women that means restoring a lovely plump set of lips with an obvious “cupid’s bow.” I always try to point out to ladies the blessing of having the kind of lip that just needs some volume replaced.And finally, it’s very common to have asymmetrical lips. It’s actually not the norm for women to have symmetrical features. In fact, when we do see someone with that facial symmetry we wish we all had it would seem fitting to have confetti fall from the ceiling!! So, if you’re one of the “not symmetrical” ladies, don’t despair; filler injected carefully and with a good eye can help reduce that asymmetry if not correct it completely. While lips are losing volume usually the tissue around the mouth is too, and fillers are a wonderful answer to those lines above the lips and those pesky marionette lines (also called puppet lines!)  Once again, my lips shown above are a great example of this!
