What’s on Your Horizon?
Well, spring has sprung! We certainly wondered when it would after a pretty mild winter. . .so many of us holding our breath that we wouldn’t get that “last snow” of the year on Easter! lolSound crazy? I have many memories of dawning winter coats over the special Easter dresses! We were glad it wasn’t so this year and for those of us who really do like the 4 seasons, we are very aware thatwe certainly don’t know in our beautiful state of Ohio when it comes to the weather and the changing of the seasons! It likes to keep us guessing and wondering. . .If you are wondering what’s on the horizon at New Image I’ll let you know in a bit. What’s on your horizon? It’s hard to believe we are heading into summer soon. . .well we think we are! There have been more then a few years that I have heard people say. . .”what happened to spring? It seems we just skipped it and landed in the summer!” lol Truly unpredictable and depending on your seasonal preference, often in our busy lives, “missed”.This year of 2017 has brought me to another decade of “more years”. Somehow 60 seems as I put it, “serious”. lolI don’t want to say depressing or discouraging, but challenging!Life is good and I am blessed with a great husband (although a bit wacky at times:) which keeps life interesting for sure!), a wonderful family, good friends, and awesome clients! So what’s the introspection about?I am taking every other Monday to watch our7 mo old grandson, Finn. First off, I forgot how much energy it takes even just for 1 day! He loves attention. . .all of it! lol He’s cute as can be and I find myself wondering “will I see him graduate, get married, succeed in whatever vocation he aspires to and maybe even have kids of his own? Well certainly! I hope so!But just like we don’t really know when summer is coming. . .I don’t really know the answers to these questions! And of course, that must be ok if I am to stay focused on life NOW and trust God to fill in the blanks according to His will. It’s an interesting spot to be in. . .parentless except for Dan’s mother and different knowing more then likely we are the next to leave this world and transition to the next! How far down the horizon is that? I wonder. . .not with dread but with curiosity. Am I anxious? No! I love this life and am grateful and yes, will continue to do whatever things in the form of treatments I can to stay as confident as possible. I started back to a gym and have joined a class to strengthen my body. . .and believe me it needs strengthened! Gone are the days when I could push and do whatever I wanted! It’s an amazing revelation. . .yes in fact I have limits. Now, what’s on the horizon at New Image?
