How long is an appointment?
A 30-minute consultation is required before purchasing your Forever Young BBL treatment. Consultations and treatments are scheduled on different days and cannot happen at the same appointment.
On the day of your treatment, a topical anesthetic is offered to the client for the area for 30 minutes. Some clients opt out of that without difficulty. The FYBBL treatment takes between 20 and 40 minutes for the face only. The time will be more depending on the areas being treated.
Will it hurt?
We apply a topical anesthetic to the area being treated to dampen any discomfort. The treatment does make the skin feel hot, similar to a sunburn. It is not uncommon for clients to not receive topical without difficulty.
How does it work?
FYBBL (Forever Young Broadband Light) optimally delivers infrared invisible light penetrating through the epidermis and dermis, stimulating changes at the molecular level and visible changes in the dermis. The gene expression of older damaged skin cells change and will more closely resemble the genes expressed in young skin cells. The cells are reinvigorated and over time the skin looks much younger.
What kind of results can I expect?
With one treatment you can expect a reduction of dyschromia—reducing reds and browns and smoothing the skin depending on the level of aging and sun damage. If the skin is more damaged and aged, two to three treatments may be required for correction depending on the client’s desired outcome. A maintenance treatment done annually is recommended for younger, less damaged skin, and three to four times annually for maintenance and reduction in aging.
How does Forever Young BBL compare to other alternative services?
It is the same technology as the standard BBL but with a different protocol that goes beyond treating the appearance of the skin and bringing ongoing change at the molecular level allowing the skin to function more youthfully. It has essentially no downtime and no peeling or flaking! Since the skin barrier is not broken, good quality mineral based make-up can be used immediately post-treatment if desired. Best of all, it goes beyond only visual correction of aged and sun-damaged skin to bring a functional change of the age regulators in the skin—meaning clearer, smoother, AND younger appearing skin!
