YOU HAVE QUESTIONS

We have answers

How long is an appointment?

An appointment for a chemical peel can be as quick as 30-45 minutes.

Will it hurt?

Most clients do not experience any discomfort during a chemical peel. There is a possibility of tingling or stinging during the treatment, but it will quickly subside.

How long will I be peeling?

After treatment, many clients experience redness and tightening. Depending on the level of peel received, some may experience peeling anywhere from three to seven days.

What are the different levels of peels and which one will I receive?

At New Image, we work exclusively with SkinMedica chemical peels. They are some of the highest quality, most effective, physician grade peels. The SkinMedica peel portfolio contains three types of peels:

Illuminize Peel: this is the lightest peel a client can receive. This peel is a unique formula that offers glowing results with low irritation and no visible peeling.

Vitalize Peel: this is a powerful yet non-damaging peel. This peel, over an extended series, can fight fine lines and discoloration from acne.

Rejuvenize Peel: this is the most powerful peel available. This peel provides controlled exfoliation of the uppermost layers of the skin. With extended use, it combats fine lines, sun damage and acne scarring.

What will I have to do to care for my skin after treatment?

After receiving a chemical peel, clients are provided with a post-treatment kit of skincare products. The use of these products helps ensure proper healing of the skin: gentle facial cleanser, ceramide treatment cream, and a mineral SPF.

How much does it cost?

At New Image, chemical peel treatment plans are highly custom to fit your lifestyle and budget and vary depending on the desired result. It is impossible to know how many chemical peels would be needed without a consultation, or if chemical peels are the right treatment option to address your concern.
