The winter months are here! And between Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years, we will be doing plenty of celebrating and hopefully safely spending time with our loved ones. Still, we will also be spending plenty of time inside (because wet and gray Ohio winters + Covid). We get many questions about when it is the best time for specific treatments, and winter is the best time to get many treatments we offer at New Image!
With your extra downtime, you might be looking at the skin damage left by a summer in the sun or excess fat that won’t seem to go away, no matter how hard you try. And thinking ahead to when you can enjoy time outside in something other than a bulky sweater and boots, you’re wondering what treatments would be best to get while you have this extra time, and you’ll be seeing fewer people.
Here are our top treatment choices for the winter months!
You’ve spent the summer in the sun, and now you see the effects; more freckles, perhaps larger age spots, and redness. What you need is a BBL! BBL is a time-tested treatment (Dr. Madsen has been doing these since we opened in 2008) to tackle sun damage, age spots, decrease pore size, and improve the skin’s overall texture. You’ll be bright and glowing just in time for the holidays!
Winter gives you the perfect excuse to finally have that Halo treatment you’ve been considering. When else are you going to have this much downtime and all the reasons to stay inside?! Our Halo Pro treatment provides total skin rejuvenation by improving the overall tone and texture of the skin. In about five days, with the most significant results seen over the following months, you’ll begin to see diminished discoloration, a decrease in fine lines and wrinkles, reduced pore size, tighter and thicker skin with an increase in collagen production, and a brighter skin tone.
What could be more fun than heading into winter with some extra pockets of fat and walking into spring trim and ready for your summer clothes? Nothing? We think so too. CoolSculpting will target and kill stubborn pockets of fat that are resistant to diet and exercise. Starting your treatment cycles in the winter will set you up for success and have you feeling confident for the warmer months of swimsuits, shorts, and tank tops.
It never fails, summer comes, and you wish you didn’t have to worry about shaving every day. Laser Hair Removal requires five base treatments, one treatment every 6-8 weeks, with booster treatments available as needed after. So let’s do some math, if you start your treatments now, you’ll be hair free by April. 😍
Winter weather is notorious for drying out the skin, so get in some self-care time and some intense skin hydration with our HydraFacial. It’s a one-of-a-kind treatment that will cleanse, exfoliate and hydrate the skin, all while removing impurities and clearing out the pores. And with the addition of the Alastin TriHex Peptide Serum, you can fight aging and help stimulate the production of healthy elastin and collagen!
Spider veins can appear on the face, neck, chest, and legs. And wintertime is ideal for treatment, especially on the legs. To treat spider veins on the legs, use sclerotherapy, and post-treatment, you’ll need to wear compression socks. Better to hide those under your pants in the cold months!
Winter Skincare Changes
Are you a seasonal skincare person, swapping your products out based on the weather? If you are already using our Alastin or SkinMedica products, you’re doing great things to keep your skin hydrated during these dry months! You shouldn’t need to do anything to compensate for the dry air and heat blasting at your face. If not, consider stepping into one of our professional-grade skincare lines, starting with Alastin’s Ultra Nourishing Moisturizer with TriHex Technology and SkinMedica’s Vitamin C + E Complex.
If you’re curious about any of these treatments or products, reach out to us! We’d love to chat with you about how New Image can help you make the most of your treatments this winter!
Cheers! Be healthy, safe, and warm!
