Top 3 Trending Treatments at New Image Right Now

Yes, it’s getting cooler but no—it doesn’t mean you have to hibernate! Quite the opposite, in fact. Fall and winter are some of the best times of the year to book treatments at New Image! The cooler months are synonymous with staying warm and bunkering down but for those of us who want to look and feel good across ALL the seasons 🙋‍♀️—we are busy beavers! It’s all about timing for each of us! You decide the best time!

Now is your perfect opportunity to work to stay on top of enhancing your natural beauty, work on your skincare goals, fix what summer left behind, and continue to plan the work that will support you toward looking your most youthful self.

So if you’re wondering which treatments are great for this crisp time of year, we’re taking the lead from our current clients and sharing with you what’s trending right now at New Image. And if you’re unsure whether that treatment you’ve had your eye on for a while is good to get done over the next few months, you’re always welcome to contact us at the office and schedule a free consultation in our no-pressure environment.

1. Trending Right Now: Facial Filler

Everyone knows by now that too much sun isn’t good for your skin, but this is especially true if you’ve had facial filler treatment. Most facial fillers are made of a natural substance called hyaluronic acid (which instantly smooths wrinkles and provides volume to your facial features) that already exists in your body. Cooler months are ideal because sun exposure has been reported to speed up the metabolism of  the hyaluronic acid and reduce its intended effect.

This time of year is also a great time to schedule your treatments because you’re less likely to be outside soaking up rays from the sun (which we don’t recommend anyway. . .at least not on a “regular” basis!) but which can increase the possibility of side effects like redness and swelling post-treatment.  We should always wear a high quality, preferably physician grade SPF product, and be especially aware right after a filler treatment! And of course. . .REAPPLY WHEN YOU ARE OUT MORE THEN 90 MINUTES! I know that’s “old news” lol but I think we all need reminded!

2. Trending Right Now: Botox

Put simply: we LOVE Botox! And many of you do too! Botox is all about preventative maintenance for those pesky fine lines and wrinkles and there really is no bad time to receive treatment. Depending on your age, skin condition and habits, the effects of Botox can last anywhere from three to six months so the “seeds” you plant now will be ready to flourish later.

Although side effects from Botox treatments are very uncommon (and not permanent), there may be some tiny bruising and redness at the injection site. Since you’ll be layered up in all those warm, cozy clothes you can more easily disguise any temporary post-treatment effects.

And there’s nothing a good “color corrector kit” like the Colorescience kit we carry can’t easily take care of!

3. Trending Right Now: CoolSculpting

We think the name, CoolSculpting, is a hint that not only does this treatment deliver controlled cooling to freeze off those hard-to-move pockets of fat, but that the chillier months are your cue to get started! CoolSculpting needs some lead time with the best results often seen within one to three months after your first treatment as your body starts to naturally remove the fat cells from your body.

So it makes sense why now is the perfect time to plan ahead for the return of warmer months when you will be ready to enjoy the view from your bathing suit once again! Plus, after treatment, some people say the area can be tender to touch with minor bruising for up to five days so layer up and feel extra protected.

P.S.  For those of you still reading. . .a little heads up of a new treatment coming soon to New Image! We’re excited and think you will be too!  Hint hint: think toned 🙂
